Edited by U. Melissa Anyiwo, PhD Bloodlines of Resistance will be the first edited volume to center Blackness within vampire cinema across historical, cultural, and geographic contexts. This collection brings together Black scholars of race, gender, media, and horror to explore how Diasporic filmmakers, characters, and narratives reconfigure the vampire archetype to critique systems of power, reclaim ancestral trauma, and imagine radical futures. Black vampire films serve not only as entertainment but as interventions that foreground histories of exploitation, marginalization, and resistance. Deadline for Proposals: October 1, 2025
